july 31, departing rome for greece

we left the apartment at about 5pm. it was comfortable because we caught a train right outside (for free) and then a train about 10 minutes later to the airport; so the connexions were good. even though we had a lot of time to go see some other stuff, we didnt, instead opting to relax, which was needed. it was another hot day anyway. i am both excited and nervous to go to greece: excited because i will see family and all the sites; nervous because i am going to be with family whom i dont really know, and whose language i dont really speak. hopefully i will pick something up. we’ll see what happens. this airport (leonardo da vinci/ fuimicino) wasnt so bad, and getting here was easy, soi dont so much hate this airport (yet).
